However, their original audience has grown up, and the duo – full names Dick McCourt and Dominic Wood – are really not holding back.

Truss entered office only 44 days ago and is facing mounting calls to resign from both opposition parties and her own MPs.

Truss is due to visit Graham Brady, the Tory backbencher, this afternoon because she “wants to be in touch with the spirit of the party,” according to Chris Mason, Political Editor of the BBC.

Suella Braverman resigned as Home Secretary on Tuesday afternoon, claiming in her letter of resignation that she transmitted an important document from her private email address. She did, however, write a blistering critique of Liz Truss’ government.
